One court for Elberfeld, Barmen and Vohwinkel
One court for the whole city, and a clear warning
The Amtsgericht district matches the city: one land registry for Elberfeld, Barmen or Vohwinkel. Solingen, Remscheid and the Kreis Mettmann belong to the Landgericht Wuppertal, but to other Amtsgerichte.
More about Wuppertal (3)Show less
That also means: if you own a house in Haan, Velbert or Mettmann, the Amtsgericht Wuppertal is the wrong place, even though the Landgericht district has the same name. For its district the Landgericht names the Amtsgerichte Mettmann, Remscheid, Solingen, Velbert and Wuppertal.
On its land register page the Amtsgericht warns against private websites that offer retrieval for an extra processing charge. This charge is often well above the official fee of 10 euros, and some providers have no official approval for automated retrieval; people paid, and no printout came.
Behördenfix is a private provider too. We do not retrieve data automatically; we submit the written application to the land registry with your power of attorney. We state the official fee openly, and our price of 49 euros includes it. We do not handle entries or deletions in the land register; that usually requires a notary.

Who may apply for a land register extract in Wuppertal?
Anyone who shows a legitimate interest. According to the Amtsgericht, that is in principle anyone holding a right in the land register: ownership, land charge, mortgage, right of way or residence. Other persons need the owner's power of attorney. The land registry decides whether your reasons are sufficient.
Do I need an appointment at the Wuppertal land registry?
For land register matters the Amtsgericht offers online appointment booking. Without an appointment, according to the court, a request is usually not dealt with the same day. Does the land register extract also show my property boundaries?
No. The land register shows ownership, encumbrances, restrictions and mortgages, but no boundaries. These are in the real estate cadastre; in Wuppertal the city issues extracts via its Geodatenzentrum. You can order the cadastral map extract from us separately; it complements the land register printout but does not replace it.
