Applying yourself at the Vermessungsamt Berlin

The way without us, step by step

Responsible is the surveying office of the district where the plot lies; in the twelve district offices it belongs to the Stadtentwicklungsamt, e.g. in Mitte at Mathilde-Jacob-Platz 1 or in Spandau at Carl-Schurz-Straße 2/6. You preferably apply online with the state's form; in writing also works.

  • Online with the application form «Liegenschaftskarte» on the Service-Portal Berlin. The surveying office checks the application and gets in touch if anything is unclear.
  • On request the office makes a cost estimate first. Processing pauses until you agree.
  • Extract and fee notice come by post; the state says usually two weeks.
  • Costs compared: at the surveying office 16 euros per sheet, from DIN A3 18 euros. With us 54.90 euros including this fee. We are not an authority or a surveying firm; the office does not work faster for us.

Twelve surveying offices, one online form

One form for all twelve districts

In Berlin the Flurkarte is not kept by one central cadastral office but by each of the twelve district offices with its surveying office, from Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf at Hohenzollerndamm to Marzahn-Hellersdorf at Premnitzer Straße. Responsible is always the office of the district where the plot lies. The state's online form is the same for all districts.

More about Berlin (2)

The official extract is a certified copy on paper. Anyone filing a building application or wanting to buy or mortgage a property usually needs a current extract, the state says. A non-official printout, by contrast, is free on the Geoportal Berlin, for a first look at boundaries and buildings.

At 16 euros per sheet the fee is low; from DIN A3, 2 euros are added for certification, and each further copy ordered at the same time costs half. It only gets dearer with boundary lengths entered: 32 euros per half hour or part of it, and only for owners. Digital data for planners is available separately via ALKIS.

Questions about the Flurkarte in Berlin

What does a Flurkarte cost in Berlin?

At the surveying office 16 euros per sheet. From DIN A3, 2 euros per certification are added. Each further copy ordered at the same time costs 50 percent of the base fee. The office sends the fee notice with the extract. At Behördenfix you pay 54.90 euros, the surveying office fee is included.

Can I get the Flurkarte in Berlin for free?

A non-official printout, yes: the Geoportal Berlin creates it free of charge. For a building application, purchase or mortgage you usually need a current official extract, the state says. It is a certified copy on paper and costs 16 euros per sheet at the surveying office.

Which surveying office in Berlin is responsible?

The surveying office of the district where the plot lies. Each of the twelve district offices has one in its Stadtentwicklungsamt, e.g. Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg at Yorckstraße 4-11 or Lichtenberg at Alt-Friedrichsfelde 60. The online application is the same for all districts; we find the office from the address.

How long does an extract from the Liegenschaftskarte take?

Usually you receive the extract within two weeks, by post together with the fee notice. If you ask for a cost estimate first, processing pauses until you agree. Through us the surveying office's processing time is the same; it does not get faster.

What does a Flurkarte with boundary lengths cost?

16 euros per sheet plus 32 euros per half hour or part of it for entering the boundary lengths in decimetres. Only owners of the plot get these details. Our fixed price of 54.90 euros applies to the extract without boundary lengths; we state the extra amount before payment.

Are the owners shown on the Flurkarte?

No. The map shows plots and buildings to scale. Ownership details are kept in the Liegenschaftskataster in line with the land register. Digital ownership data from ALKIS is only available with a legitimate interest, and inspecting the land register without ownership or power of attorney also requires a legitimate interest.
