The way without us, step by step

The Katasteramt Dortmund also issues the extract directly to you. The city names three ways:

  • In person at the information desk, Märkische Straße 24-26, Monday to Thursday from 9 to 12. You can take the extract with you. Travel by light rail lines 41, 45, 47, 49 or the S4 to Stadthaus.
  • In writing with the form «Bestellung von Katasterunterlagen»: enter district (Gemarkung), Flur, parcel or address, tick scale 1:500, 1:1000 or 1:2000, sign and send to katasteramt@dortmund.de or by post. On request the extract comes by email.
  • Online via the city's Geo Shop: free and without registration you only get the «Flurkarte» as open data (TIFF, DXF, SHAPE or NAS, scale 1:1000). That is not the «Amtliche Flurkarte» (official map), which the Geo Shop provides as a PDF only to registered customers with a SEPA direct debit mandate.
  • Fee according to the Katasteramt's price list: analogue standard copy of the cadastral map up to DIN A3 30 euros, larger 60 euros. On request the office adds boundary lengths or building distances, for an extra fee based on time.
  • Costs compared: at the office you pay 30 or 60 euros. With us you pay 54.90 euros including the fee for an extract up to DIN A3. We quote larger formats and additions as an extra amount before payment.

Köln charges 15 euros for the online extract, Essen also 15 euros in its geoshop and 30 euros up to DIN A3 via the other channels. For the paper extract Dortmund names the same 30 and 60 euros as Essen.

Analogue extracts are available from DIN A4 to DIN A0. Digitally the office supplies PDF, georeferenced TIFF or vector data such as DXF, DWG or Shape. Since 2010 Dortmund has kept the map in the ALKIS system.

Who may see the owner data?

Owners, holders of hereditary building rights and notaries may view the owner information of the real estate cadastre. According to the city of Dortmund, other people must show a legitimate interest, because the Katasteramt must protect the owners' data. The cadastral map alone shows parcels and buildings in outline, but no owners' names.
