You request the replacement certificate without us from the City of Bochum's trade registration office. bochum.de says this:

The City of Bochum states the fee for the replacement certificate explicitly: 15 euros per certificate, for example if the trade licence is lost. How to apply, however, bochum.de does not describe; a separate online service is only named there for registration, change and deregistration.

For trade notifications: the city confirms complete documents received by post promptly; anyone coming in person with an appointment gets the confirmation immediately. Personal visits are only possible in individual cases.
For comparison, the trade office's other fees: registration or change 26 euros for natural persons, 33 euros for legal entities and 13 euros per additional legal representative. Deregistration is currently free.

May someone else apply for the replacement for me?
For trade notifications by a representative, the City of Bochum requires a written power of attorney and the ID of both the person granting and the person receiving it. We do the same for the replacement: you sign the power of attorney when ordering and upload your ID copy, and we enclose both with the application.
Is a trade register information the same thing?
No. Trade register information gives third parties the name, business address and activity of a trader, for example for warranty questions. In Bochum it costs 20 to 40 euros, even if nothing is recorded, and is not given by phone. For your own lost trade licence, the replacement certificate for 15 euros is the right one.
My business has moved. Is a duplicate enough?
No. A move within the city is a change of registration in Bochum, with its own online service; like registration it costs 26 euros for natural and 33 euros for legal persons. If you move to another municipality, deregister in Bochum and register there anew. The replacement certificate only replaces a lost document.
