Good to know

  • You must deregister within two weeks after moving out, at the earliest one week before (§ 17 (2) BMG).
  • Deregistration is possible in writing with your own signature.
  • Many contracts can be ended early when you move abroad – this depends on the individual contract; we do not check it legally.

Will I get a deregistration confirmation?

Yes. The registration office sends it to your address abroad or to us.

Which contracts are typically ended?

Typically electricity, internet, mobile phone, insurance, gym and the broadcasting fee. You decide the list.

What about my car?

We can also take your vehicle off the road through our vehicle registration service.

Do I have to go to the authority myself for "Moving abroad package"?

No. With your power of attorney we file the application with the responsible office (Meldebehörde + Zulassungsstelle + Vertragspartner).

How long does it take?

Usually 7 to 28 days, depending on the authority.

Is the official fee included in the price?

The authority charges no fee for this service. You only pay our fixed price.
